K leon coa

León is a de jure kingdom consisting of 2 duchy titles and 5 county titles. The title exists for the entirety of the timeframe of Crusader Kings II. In the timeframe of The Old Gods DLC León is replaced by Asturias.

De Jure Territory[]

The de jure duchy titles within León are as follows:

  • Asturias
  • León

The kingdom of León is a de jure part of the empire of Hispania. The de jure capital of León is the county of León.  AI rulers of León are likely to make this their capital.

Creation Conditions[]

K leon

De jure territory of León

A ruler requires 2 duchy titles, plus at least 51% (3) of the 5 de jure counties to create León. In addition, a significant amount of gold and piety is required to create León.

Creating León grants the creator 400 prestige.

Unique Mechanics[]

Asturias to León (requires The Old Gods DLC) - Until 924 León was known as Asturias. The royal court was moved to the city of León and the kingdom became known by the same name. A ruler of Asturias can mimic this change by moving the capital to Leon. If he or she also holds the two duchies of Asturias and Leon, he or she can make a decision which changes the name and coat of arms of the realm to those of León. The title history and de jure territory of Asturias carries over to León.
