Emperor

An emperor is a ruler of the fifth tier. Emperors are the highest ranked playable rulers. Emperors rule over one or more empires, each composed of one or more kingdoms. Rulers of emperor rank are always independent.

Title variants

Most male rulers of emperor-rank are known as emperors, and most female rulers of emperor-rank are known as empresses. There are, however, several cultural and religious variants which are summarized in the table below:
